Sprouting with Anne Buck
Participants in this breakout session will receive an overview of the many benefits and methods of growing fresh, organic sprouts at home. Discover how sprouting provides nutrient-dense food that tastes great, costs pennies to the dollar and requires as little as one minute twice per day! Sprouting provides a meaningful and fun activity for the entire family. Discover why sprouting is one of the wisest emergency foods to have on hand, and why it is one of the most important and meaningful skills you can introduce to those who experience food insecurity or who live in “food deserts.”
Attendees will see various sprouting devices, including the colander and mason jar found in many homes and other devices available online. Handouts will be provided with recipes, resources and step-by-step sprouting instructions. Each participant will receive a sample supply of lentil sprouting seeds to get started!
Anne is a 16-year stage IV breast cancer survivor and incorporates sprouting as one of her core strategies to increase her chances of survival. She has a passion for inspiring others to adopt an anti-inflammatory diet.
